Trustee- Paul Cheptai Lomeri
Paul Cheptai Lomeri is a member-elected Trustee who joined GDCSRBS in November 2024.
He is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in public administration, educational management, renewable energy, and stakeholder engagement. He has played a key role in Kenya’s geothermal power sector, particularly through his administrative
and stakeholder leadership in the Baringo–Silali Geothermal Project, where while serving as the Regional Administrator for a decade, he helped align communities, government bodies, and energy companies toward clean energy development. A seasoned public speaker, translator and researcher particularly on social sciences, Paul has contributed significantly to climate communications. He is a two-time Best Presenter Award winner in Kenya Geothermal Conference 2013-14, served in the National Youth Parliament
(2005-2012) and is a regular contributor in weekly and periodic features in live Swahili Radio including BBC Swahili.
As a TDPK certified trustee, Paul brings a principled, governance-driven approach, underpinned by deep knowledge of stakeholder relations, community service, strategic communication and planning. His commitment to transparency, fiduciary duty, and regulatory compliance ensures the protection and sustainability of member benefits.
Paul is pursuing graduate studies in Public Administration, International Relations and Diplomacy. These combined
with his experience, and a solid background in policy, development and public service, has pivoted his support in collaborative leadership and sound decision- making to advance the long-term goals of the GDC Staff Retirement Benefits Scheme.
He is an active member in several professional bodies including Kenya Institute of Management, Geothermal Association of Kenya and East Africa Interpreters and Translators Association.
Paul serves as the Chairperson of Administration and Governance Committee and is an active member of Risk and Audit Committee.
